BARBARA G. (CAMPBELL) EYE
Barbara went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2013. She was 70 as she passed away at home.
She was born on October 12, 1942 in Winchester, Virginia. Her parents were Bessie Eunice Bell Campbell and Paul Dewey Campbell, Sr.
After graduating from James Wood in 1962, she later chose hairdressing as her profession.
A variety of activities brought her happiness throughout her life. Among those were listening to music, cooking, traveling, camping, walks on the beach and collecting seashells.
She began her religious journey at Highland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Later she attended Gainesboro United Methodist, Braddock Street United Methodist and Macedonia United Methodist Churches.
Barbara married Louis Eye on May 16, 1986 at the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years Lou Eye; one daughter, Kimberly Wilson and husband Bobby; one step-daughter, Jennifer Lovelace and husband John; one step-son, Jon Eye and wife Ginger. She also has two grandchildren, Sam Wilson and Amy Lovelace. She is also survived by four sisters; Martha Lou Light, Alice L. Giles, Carolyn L. Anderson and Sharon G. Thompson, and two brothers; Garland L. Campbell and Robert “Butch” Campbell.
Preceding her in death were her parents; Bessie Campbell and Paul Dewey Campbell, Sr.; her step-father, Langford “Ted” Leach, two sisters; Charlotte Paugh and Joyce Sirbaugh, and two brothers; Paul Campbell, Jr. and Benjamin E. Campbell.
A funeral service will be held at 11: 00 Friday, May 17, 2013 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Pastor Jason Duley officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Memorial Cemetery, White Post, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Haun, Robert Giles, Bobby Anderson, Tommy Thompson, Sam Wilson, and Jon Eye.
Honorary pallbearers are Garland Campbell and Robert Campbell.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service from 10:00 to 11:00 on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Macedonia United Methodist Church, White Post, Virginia.
