Arthur Paul Poli, 87 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at The Willows at Meadow Branch.
Art was born in 1938 in Old Forge, PA the son of the late Mario and Victoria Poli. He was a high school graduate who went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Scranton. He served our country in the United States Army Reserve and received his Expert Marksman Medal. Art spent his career in the Insurance Industry and retired as an Insurance Executive for General Re. He was an avid golfer and member of Heritage Hunt Golf Club and was known as the first to hit a hole in one on the 9th hole. Art and Helen were dedicated members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Gainesville, VA, and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester
Art volunteered with his wife at Prince William Hospital and volunteered at his church delivering meals for those who were homebound. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and hunting and fishing with his family.
A devout father, Art took great pride in providing for his family including his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Ann Kramer whom he married on April 28, 1962; sons, Robert “Bob” Poli (Kim), John Poli (Christine); daughter, Victoria “Vicki” Valyear (Scott), grandchildren, Ashley (Seth), Alex (Cameron), Jonathan (Nicole), Lauren (Trevor), Kevin (Myranda) and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Cade, Colston, Otto and one on the way; sister, Patricia Gurecki (John “Jay”) and nieces and nephew, Cheryl, Mindy, and John.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Art in the Spring of 2026.
