I am so sorry for your loss. I got to know Woody through FEMA. He was the trainer from my very first day with them and he was the best. Never a dull moment in class. Was nice to talk to an OK native and fellow Sooner fan. Thoughts and prayers for all.

Mr. Goins was the most influential teacher in my life at Cleora, OK. He taught each child how to learn and perform country and gospel music along with other subjects. I had a private school education in a public school because of his expertise. Mrs. Goins, Ronnie, and Woody, I am lifting you up in prayer for His peace, comfort and strength.

I have fond memories of our time together at FEMA, weathering disasters both external and internal. Together with our colleague, Dale Flanagan, Woody and I declared ourselves charter members of what we laughingly called "The Corps of Discovery.." Cheers to you, old friend and comrade. Rest in peace.

Michael Perry left a message on December 12, 2025:
Woody was the best. Woody and Elsie watched me grow up and we were neighbors for 15 years. I would go and visit Woody and Elsie when I came home for breaks when I was in college and living in Charlotte. Woody was a massive influence on my life and like a second grandfather to me. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. My favorite memory would be when he would greet me at the door with a huge bear hug and say “Michael Domenic!”
