Mark and I have such wonderful memories of Bill. We were lucky. to move next door in 1988. Bill was always equipping us with fresh grown vegetables. As first time home owners with 3 very small children we couldn't have asked for better neighbors and friends. It was our sincere pleasure and our good fortune to have moved in next door.

I would like to extend my heartfelt sorrow In the passing of Bill. I really can’t believe where all the years have gone. When I first came to this area to work as a young trooper Bill was in his early 30s. We had so much fun working together in those times and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to have known Bill and worked with him. Please know that I’ll be praying and thinking about the family at this time of loss and mourning. Jeff Zirkle

I was just a kid when I first met Bill. He and my dad, David Crouch, were close friends, and I have a lot of good memories of them together. I remember my dad coming home from hunting trips with Bill—sometimes with a deer, sometimes not. I think Bill may have shared a few of his extras when Dad wasn’t so lucky. I also remember going to Bill’s house for dinner. He made amazing meals, and his roasts off the grill were always juicy and delicious. I’d sit on the couch, listening to his stories from the military and the State Police—he had some great ones. But what stuck with me the most was the love between Bill and Carol. It was so obvious how much they cared for each other, and seeing that made a lasting impact on me. It’s something I carried into my own marriage, and I’m grateful for that example. I like to think Bill is still making his famous roasts, keeping an eye on everyone he loved. He’ll be missed.

Loved Uncle Bill to pieces. Great sense of humor, and I'll always picture him either very stern or laughing! One of a kind. I always loved taking hunting, fishing, and cooking with him. Love you, Carol and cousins! Gonna miss him.
