William M. Withers

William Marion Withers, age 54, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, died, Friday, August 24, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Withers was born in 1958, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of Judith Green of West Virginia and the late Richard Harley Withers. He was an electrician and office manager at McDean Electric for the past 20 years. He spent as much time as he could doing what he loved most: hunting, fishing, and boating.

William married Tammy Lynn Dickerson on February 4, 1977, in Maryland.

Surviving with his mother and wife, are two daughters, Patricia Marie Dickerson of Winchester, Virginia, Tara Lynn Messick and husband, Troy, of Winchester, Virginia; one son, William M. Withers, Jr. and his wife, Scottie, of Cross Junction, Virginia; six grandchildren, Skylar and Brandon Shingleton, Hunter Dwayne and Blake Fischer Messick, Rielie Lynette and William Parker Withers; sisters, Donna Hubble and Beth Kamm; one brother Richard Harley Withers, Jr.; step mother Jo Withers and step father David Green and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124.

You always had such a sweet and soft demeanor and spirit about you. I remember coming and staying with you guys when little. I loved how you always called me Rikki Lynn. I loved your hugs!! Always thought I had the most handsome uncles. Wish I could have come to see you ,but am glad the last time I got to see you you looked really good!! Best memories the kids have are coming out to your place every year ,and having the picnic.It was an awesome summer highlight. I had been praying for you ,and always thought of you.
