You and I have never met, but your dad made a big impression on me as a 4 & 5 year old. Our family lived across the road from him and his Mother. We would walk to his house to watch Billy Graham Crusades on their black & white TV. He was a teenager and involved in my dad's youth program at Stephens City Mennonite Church. My mother cut his hair. I looked up to him...he was always most thoughtful and kind, loved to play practical jokes, had a big smile, would lend a helping hand and enjoyed discussing Biblical topics with my dad. My parents were Maurice and Norma Horst. My prayer is that God will bring you comfort and that happy memories will live in your heart until you meet him again in heaven. What a reunion we all will have!
Kathy Foster left a message on October 18, 2024:
I will always remember Bill for his incredible love he had for everyone. I loved seeing him on Sunday mornings with Elizabeth. They always made me feel like they were so glad to see me. Bill gave the best bear hugs in the world. Next to my dad of course. Bills smile and gentle spirit would always light up the room.
Gary and Laura VanMeter left a message on October 18, 2024:
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. We always enjoyed talking to Bill at Calvary Church. His smile and sense of humor were so genuine. He loved The Lord. That is certain. We will miss sending him our joke pages. I think he really enjoyed them. Let many happy memories be of comfort now and in the future.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
