William “Eddie” Martin

Date of Death: December 31, 1969

William Edward “Eddie” Martin, 52, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October, 14, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Martin was born in 1960, in Fauquier County, Virginia, the son of Mary Jane Martin and the late Harry Franklin Martin. He was a man of many trades including working as a farm laborer and mechanic for A.R. Shiley Truck Repair. Eddie was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting, fishing and NASCAR. He will always be known and missed for his ability to make people laugh.

He married Susan Shiley on December 12, 1981, in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his mother and wife is a daughter, Chrissy Martin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son, Logan Martin of Stephens City; step-daughter, Leslie Michielli and husband, Michael, of Pittsburgh; four step-grandchildren; sisters, Janie Martin, Kathy Martin, Karen Martin; brothers, Harry Martin, Jr., and Terry Martin, maternal grandmother, Sarah Welch and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Martin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Dr. Donald M. Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
