William E. “Bill” Booze
William Earl “Bill” Booze, age 64, of Cross Junction, VA, died Friday, September 13, 2013, at his home. Mr. Booze was born in 1949 in Buchanan, VA, the son of the late William F. and Edna E. Booze. He worked in property management for Leisure World in Landsdowne, VA and also owned Booze Management, Inc. in Fairfax, VA for thirteen years. He was a 1968 graduate of Falls Church High School. Upon graduation from high school, Bill joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years, including a tour of duty in the Mediterranean and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War.
He met and married the love of his life, Barbara E. Payne on November 18, 1977 in Oakton, VA. They enjoyed a full life together which included fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, golfing, bowling, softball, reading, cooking, theatre, musicals, operas, and most styles of music. Bill was a true Renaissance man!
Bill and Barbara have been the “parents” of many four-legged friends, most recently Elvis, the Basset, and Bonnie and Clyde, their Siamese Cats.
He is survived by his wife, and was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Tina and Carol.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, facilitated by Fred Dublin. Military Honors will be afforded by VFW Post 2123. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
