William D. Davies
William David Davies, 80, of Winchester, Virignia, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mr. Davies was born in 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late William Glen and Lena Davies. He was the owner and operator of Stump Jumper, Inc. in Winchester for over 25 years, He attended Burnt Factory United Methodist Church and was a member of Hillman Lodge #481 F&AM, Youngstown, Ohio. He was a graduate of East High School in Youngstown. Mr. Davies was a Veteran having served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Corporal.
He married Marilyn Hepler on March 16, 1966, in New Carrolton, Maryland.
Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Jennifer Creany and husband, Kevin, of Winchester, Caroline Pardue and husband, Scott, of Holmes Beach, Florida; son, David Davies of Leesburg; five grandchildren, Erik and Ryan Owesney, Charlotte Pardue, Emily and Matthew Price; sisters, Mae Sickman and Nellie McGuire, both of Cape Coral, Florida.
One son, Robert Price, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Steve Melester officiating. The visitation will be at 6pm, one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be private.
