Warren G. Nestor
Warren G. Nestor, 70, of Hampshire County, West Virginia, died Wednesday, 7, 2012, in his home.
Mr. Nestor was born in 1941, in Cumberland, Maryland, the son of the late Marshal L. Nestor and Elva Nestor Lee. He was employed as a Maintenance worker with Winchester Medical Center retiring after 15 Years of service. Mr. Nestor was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness faith. He was a graduate of Fort Ashby High School in Fort Ashby, West Virginia and attended Shepherd College and Potomac State College. Mr. Nestor was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of BT-3. He enjoyed golf, fishing and especially traveling, having visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and overseas during his military service, with his favorite place being Portland Oregon. Most importantly he enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends. Mr. Nestor was known by all as a very knowledgeable, well read gentleman with a great sense of humor.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheri Linden and husband Rick, of North Eastern, Massachusetts, Sharon Yandell and Husband Peter, of Wakefield, Massachusetts, Susan Doherty of Bridgewater, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; sisters, Rita Carroll and husband Gary, and Linda Beery both of Fort Ashby, West Virginia, Catherine Parsons and Husband Bill, of Parsons, West Virginia; and three brothers, Roger Nestor and wife Elizabeth, of Farmington Pennsylvania, Marshal Nestor and Wife Ellen, of Clearville, Pennsylvania and Gregory Nestor and Wife Catherine of Keyser, West Virginia and his very special friend, Sylvia Catron, and his three cats, Minnie, Silky and Bluesie.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Romney, West Virginia. Interment will be private.
