I can remember he and his wife, Tennessee silnce I was about five years old. My mom and dad adopted me when I was about four years old. Tennessee and Elwood were very good friends of my parents and they treated me as if I were their son. I will never forget their kindness to me and the love that they showed me. Truly emarkable people. They were there for me when both of parents passed away. Though I had not seen him in recent years since I moved to Florida, I will never forget him nor his wife. He is now with his beloved wife, Tennessee. Rest in peace, my friend.

Words cant even express how much I loved Elwood and Tennessee... They were my Godparents and I wouldnt have it had any other way... I was very shy as a little girl but I remember after I outgrew it, I loved to come to these two. Heaven has an amazing Angel now and at least he is finally resting with his lovely wife... I will miss you very much Elwood as will everyone else. You were always so kind and willing to help in any way possible. I love you both very much!! Please give Grandma a hug & kiss for me... xoxoxo May God please be with this family in this time of sorrow and need.

Remembering Elwood Hovermale what a remarkable guy..Your work here on earth is done, no more church plays or dinners as we prepared for 35 years ago.I have a lot of great memories from that great little country church, no one will ever be forgotten. What I remember most about Elwood was he was always to help with any and everything. I lived not far from the downtown mall where I would stroll my son Robbie, we would go by the store where Tennesse and Florida worked there would Elwood and Bennie helping their wives with the heavy lifting and lending them a helping hand, when you saw 1 you would see the other.Elwood and Tennesse was the idea couple along with the other couples in the church.Elwood has finally caught up with Tennesse their desination is spending the rest of their lives in HEAVEN. REST IN PEACE AND GOD BLESS YOU ELWOOD FOR THE MEMORIES YOU GAVE ME, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE CHERISHED AND NEVER FROGOTTEN, NOR WILL THE OTHER CHURCH MEMBERS THAT ARE IN HEAVEN WITH YOU...TO ALL THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF ELWOOD MY DEEPEST SINCERE SYMPATHY TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU... GOD BLESS A WONDERFUL MAN....
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
