Vista G. Riggleman Eskridge

        Vista Genevieve Riggleman Eskridge, 83, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

 

Mrs. Eskridge was born in 1929, in Moorefield, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Roy G. and Mary S. Riggleman.  She was a longtime employee of Wilkins Shoe Center and Bell’s Clothing Store in Winchester.

 

She married Norwood Hill Eskridge in Petersburg, West Virginia. Mr. Eskridge preceded her in death on October 26, 1989.

 

Surviving is her daughter, Brenda Kay Walp and husband, Jon, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandsons, Jordan Walp, Justin Walp and wife, Sarah; great granddaughter, Lilliana Rose Walp, all of Virginia Beach; sisters, Mary Ellen Mauzy, Irene Iman, both of Petersburg, West Virginia, Dixie Mauzy and husband, Marvin of Winchester; brother, Roy Riggleman, Jr. of Petersburg, West Virginia; special niece, Linda Allen and husband, Charles, of Winchester; and many nieces and nephews in the surrounding states.

 

At the family’s request all services will be private.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
