Virginia Marie Siliato Oliveto
Virginia “Ginny” Marie Siliato Oliveto, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mrs. Oliveto was born in 1927, in Asbury Park, New Jersey, the daughter of the late John and Angelina Siliato. She worked as a Telephone operator during World War II in New Jersey and for a short period as a Nurse’s Assistant. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Shinnston, West Virginia. Mrs. Oliveto also ran the business side of a home based concrete ornamental business called The Concrete Hut. Mrs. Oliveto had a “green thumb” and loved gardening in her personal garden.
She married James Oliveto, in Winchester, Virginia. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1998.
Surviving is her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Stephens and husband, George, of Huffman, Texas; sons, Richard John Oliveto of Winchester Virginia, James Anthony Oliveto and wife Barbara of Pullman, Washington; Grandchildren, Kalista Nicole Oliveto, Aaron James Stephens and Alex William Stephens; sisters, Elinor, Veronica “Nettie”, Rose Manna and Lucy Rosasco; brothers, John Siliato and wife, Stella, of Nepture, New Jersey, Harold Siliato and Mike Siliato. One son, Paul Dennis Oliveto preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Monday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be private.
