Tom was the first person we met when we moved into the neighborhood. He was such a nice and friendly man and we enjoyed our many chats. We will truly miss his neighborly ways, his big smile, and all of the friendly waves. The neighborhood lost a great man. Condolences to all of his family and friends.

So sorry to hear of Tommy's passing. He always had a great chat when he came to the office. Wanting to know how fishing was on the island. Loved his dog and bluegrass. I'm sure that he and Jackie are getting back to their life in heaven. I ❤???

Very few people have been around my entire life. Uncle Tom was one of those people. My first job was mowing his lawn. I was maybe 11 or 12 and was always around mainly swimming in his pool. So he asked if I had a job, I said you’ll pay me to drive your tractor that’s a 11 year olds dream come true. So he taped a 2x4 to the pedals because I was too small to reach them and off I went. He instilled in me and I’m sure many others especially his family a pation for many things one was music. He would always say do you like music. He says you gotta hear this then he would blast something I had never heard before. Bluegrass I didn’t even know what that was. He would say if you don’t like bluegrass then you really don’t like music. Next fishing he loved to be on the water when he went fishing he didn’t go to a pond or creek he was headed for the bay once again I didn’t even know that was an option. Lastly he had a deep love and understanding of many many sports basketball and football he hardly ever missed a game I played in. I could talk for hours about strategy philosophy history anything to do with the game. Lastly he loved and guarded his family fiercely. Our family’s have stood by each other for many many years and I pray that’s one thing the next generation can continue. Uncle Tom and Aunt Jacky are looking down and I know they are just so proud We love you from the Smith family
