Thomas Gail Garber, 64, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, died Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Garber was born in 1951, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Eli A. Garber and Alice (Pat) Williams. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1969. Mr. Garber was a Project Manager with the David L. Goode Company. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever possible. He will be forever remembered for his ability to tell it like it is and his great love and passion for playing the guitar. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He married Janeen Williams on October 24, 1982, in Hampshire County, West Virginia. She preceded him in death on June 29, 2013.
Surviving is his daughter, Wesley Pupi and her husband Robert of Victoria Texas; son, Adam Stewart and his wife Heather of Winchester, Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Dylan Stewart, Brenden and Isabella Pupi and his brothers, Michael S. Garber and his wife Sharon of Winchester and Eli A. (Skip) Garber, II of Capon Bridge as well as many extended family members and close friends.
One brother, Richard Mark Garber, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00-11:00 AM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Michal Mayton officiating. Interment will be private. A reception will follow the service in the Omps Tribute Centre, Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
