Thomas E. Flinn

Thomas Eugene Flinn, 68, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, in his home.

Mr. Flinn was born in 1942, in Frostburg, Maryland, the son of the late Charles and Regina Flinn. He was a Machine Operator at Lear Corporation, having retired in 2002. Mr. Flinn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Navy.

Mr. Flinn married Sarah Ann Getzendanner on July 19, 1979.

Surviving with his wife, are three sons, Glen Ward and his wife, Trudy, Byron Ward and his wife, Lynn, both of Stephens City, Stephen Ward and his wife, Yvonne, of Strasburg and six grandchildren.

Mr. Flinn was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Flinn.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Krempa officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Rosary Service will be conducted 7:00 PM.
