Teresa Carole Nicholson, 73 passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at her home.

Terri was born in 1949 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Richard and Leona Nicholson. She graduated from James Wood High School and retired from the federal government in 2015. Terri loved making her home a cozy, inviting spot where everyone felt at home, the beach, especially the Outer Banks, and traveling with her daughter, Stacey. She loved all animals especially her precious Tootsie Anne.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Smallwood (Craig Seal) of Winchester, VA; grandson Thomas Seal of Houston, TX, her brother, Richard L. Nicholson of Winchester, VA and many more family members and friends, too many to list.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Terri at a later date.

We always enjoyed talking with Terri because she always made us laugh. She was always in good spirits. We could talk for hours about our animals. Thoughts & prayers to all.

This is so unreal. You were the life of the party and could make everyone smile. May our fond memories we made comfort all of us during this time of bereavement. So sorry for your loss, Stacey. Losing a mother is a very hard to take. God bless.

I worked with Terri at VDO some time ago. She was such a fun-loving, vibrant person with some sense of humor. My sincere condolences to those close to her, her family and friends.

Teri was like a sister to me , she always had something funny to say no matter what the situation was, Happy or sad we always had a good laugh when we were together. My heart breaks for her daughter Stacey , she was the greatest love in Teri’s life and Tootsie Ann was the greatest of companions , I will truly miss my Teri, there is nobody else like her, truly one of a kind in humor and beauty.

We are so shocked to hear about Terri’s death. We are thinking of the family and friends and may the fond memories you shared help comfort you in the next days, weeks and months to come.
