Teddy Rae Weatherby Russell, 90, of Winchester, VA died Thursday, October 16, 2014, in Winchester, VA.

Mrs. Russell was born in 1924, in Houston, TX, the daughter of the late Jacob I. and Winifred Brown Weatherby. She was an artist and business owner. Mrs. Russell was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, William Henshaw Chapter, as well as a member of the Bunker Hill WV Garden Club.

Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Russell.

She is survived by daughters, Katherine Rainey and husband, Jay of Blacksburg, VA, Karoline A. Reinhard and husband, Rick of Newark, OH, Kristine L. Russell of Bunker Hill, WV; sons, Paul G. Galentine and wife, Barbara of Charlotte, NC, David I. Galentine and wife, Elizabeth of Asheville, NC, Chad B. Galentine and wife, Elena of Helotes, TX, Blade D. Galentine of Alexandria, VA; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Russell was also preceded in death by son, Byron M. Galentine and granddaughter, Rebecca A. Galentine.

Funeral Services will be scheduled at a later date.

Teddy was a gracious and talented woman who was a joy to be around. I was blessed to have known her through our DAR chapter, and I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to all of her loved ones.

I loved this lady!! Teddy was a patient at our office: Dr. John Neumann, DDS We all enjoyed her spirit and beautiful smile. Gloria told Teddy she was also from Texas, so we would always share stories. We will miss this amazing lady. With our Deepest Sympathies to her family and loved ones.

She will be sorely missed. She was a very dear friend of mine. A very very sad day. I want to send prayers to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you Teddy for all the years of friendship!
