Rest In Peace - sweet sweet lady.
Mary Ellen Snyder left a message on June 23, 2017:
I fondly remember Susan’s wonderful brand of dry humour, and all of the fun we shared during our school years, and when we attended the First Presbyterian Church. We certainly had our share of crazy, silly and giggly and sometimes-mischievous adventures. I'm so glad that Susan and I crossed paths. She was a lovely woman who met her life's challenges with a degree of determination that set the bar high for all of us. Another candle will glow at our next Handley class reunion, but the lively light that was the Susan we knew will remain in our memories. We are all connected, and we always will be. Rest in sweet peace, dear Susan. We'll see you later.

I remember her as being a very important part of our group, and know she will be missed by her many friends

Sweet, sweet lady. Susan was a good friend. Always ready with a smile at Belk. And generous with the homemade cookies, even sending them here in Florida. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
Amy Tucker left a message on June 20, 2017:
Susan lived down from my dad, Emitte Tucker on Bellview Avenue. She was such a nice person. She lived there with her dad. She took good care of him until he passed away. She always had a smile and a wave when people walked by. She will be missed greatly. I'm sorry for the loss of one of God's fine people.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Judy Whitman left a message on June 20, 2017:
Susan was my roommate at Longwood College. Over the years she became my dearest friend and the sister I always wanted — my confidante, advisor, sounding board, and “partner in crime.” We “shopped ’til we dropped.” Such a giving person, she always gathered a bag of “owl stuff” for my collection. Doug, Scott, Stephanie, Damien, and I will miss her terribly.

Sorry for your loss. I have know Susan for forty plus years. She was always nice and friendly and always very helpful. May God hold each of you in the palm of his hand in the days to come.
