Cindy Lou( Katie), Lauren and Lily, My heart breaks for you because you lost your dad, my heart also smiles for you because he left you with many happy memories. Praying that you all will be comforted by the many memories in the days ahead. As many of you know, Mr. Hawkins loved his rocking chair....Well just a few weeks ago I rode past his house and looked over, as I was driving by I see him rocking away on his porch with his chin to his chest. He had rocked himself to sleep...lol I wish I had snapped a picture as he looked so content to be enjoying such a simple pleasure! I bet if we could see Heaven right now, Mr. Hawkins is probably rocking away beside our Heavenly Father. What a joyful image. I will continue to lift you beautiful ladies up in prayer. I love you! I went to Handley with Stewart and worked at the Hospital with him also. One of the finest men you would ever come across. Condolences to the family.

Always a smile on his face. Worked with him at the hospital and always had a high to give and a kind word to say. Will miss him greatly.

Stewart was the best next door neighbor that I ever had , every morning that I would walk to my mail box to get the paper he would be sitting in his rocking chair on the porch and I would say good morning to him and every time I was out in my back yard I would always look over to his porch to see if he was out there , we often had a lot of conversations which I really enjoyed with him. Stewart was a great guy and i will miss seeing and talking to him . May he rest in peace
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

I worked at WMC for many years and saw him almost daily! We could always count on him to come to check out our constant equipment issues in the Cath Lab. Rest in glorious peace my friend.

I got to know Stewart through my sister Melinda Hart and brother-in-law Dave. From the first time we met it was as though we had known each for ever. He had a great sense of humor and was always smiling about something. My prayers are with the girls and his bonus family. Smile and remember his love.

Stewart was a very dear friend from high school. We had so many fun moments in several classes we had together. I would see Stewart when I would do work at the hospital often. I will so sadly miss our chats when we would see each other. A great Man gone to soon.

Stewart was definitely one of the good guys. I graduated in 1976 with him and worked at the hospital with him many years. He always took the time to say HI and he always smiled. Whenever I would see him he always took a few minutes to talk. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and loved him.

I have so many fond memories of Stewart as his banker for 17 years. I would like to share 3 of those memories that make me smile right now. The 1st was when I was a newly approved lender & Stewart came to me to finance his beloved Tundra. A computer/human error quoted him a payment which was a bit off (by $100 less than the actual payment). Stewart being the kind gentleman that he was forgave me and still proceeded with that loan. 2nd was his patience training our staff at the Branch CPR which brought us all “Annie” struggles but we passed after the laughter stopped. 3rd was a bank visit of many when he requested my boss who was busy in the restroom so we passed her a note under the door that a VIP had arrived and to hurry up in there. The 3rd one was so true...!!!! We all valued him as not only a customer but our friend. Heaven is so lucky to have you Stewart ....RIP Puggy!!!
