Stephen Bruce Marlowe, 74, of Winchester, VA, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, while doing what he loved, hiking.
Stephen was born in 1946 in Winchester, VA, son of the late Paul and Pauline Marlowe. He was a graduate of Clarke County High School and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Marlowe was a Mechanic with Ryder Truck Services. He enjoyed traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his late wife. Mr. Marlowe was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
His wife, Karen Marlowe, preceded him in death.
Surviving is a daughter, Jacquelyn E. Gulvas (Brian) of Altoona, PA and a son, Jonathan P. Marlowe of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Noah and Eva Gulvas; sisters, Winnie Updyke and Paulette Hogbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents and his wife, Mr. Marlowe was preceded in death by two brothers.
A committal service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA.
