I will never be able to name just one great memory of my Grandmother but one thing is for sure and that is that Chicken Salad, Pickled Eggs, and Hummingbird Cake will NEVER taste the same again cause only she knew how to make all 3 the absolute best!

Shirley; You were always a good friend to the family, I will never forget the time my Mother and I came to visit you and you showed us your doll collection. Most of all we will never forget you.
Niki Shingleton left a message on August 2, 2016:
Grandma, I am so fortunate to have had you in my life for so long, and to have such wonderful memories with you. But still, my heart is broken. I loved it when you gave me chicken salad for Christmas. I would hide it in the back of the fridge so no one would get it (although they always found it)! It was the absolute best! Anyone can buy a shirt or toy for Christmas, but your gift was the best! You made it just for me! You were always so kind and generous to everyone you met. No one could compliment you on something you had or was wearing, you would try to give whatever it was away to them. That was just the kind of person you were, and you meant so much to so many. You will forever be loved and missed. May you rest in peace with Granddaddy. I love you, forever and always!
