Sheila A. “Nahnee” Nicholson, 65, of Front Royal, passed away, Friday, March 26, 2010, in the Winchester Medical Center with her family by her side.

Mrs. Nicholson was born in 1945 in Front Royal, Virginia, the daughter of the late Francis Paul Saffell and Gladys Saffell of Front Royal, Virginia. She was employed with Family Dollar Distribution Center.

Mrs. Nicholson married Russell Lee Nicholson on February 26, 1962 in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Surviving with her mother and husband of forty-eight years; are two sons, Russell “Rusty” L. Nicholson, Jr. and his wife, Alice and Shane Toron Nicholson, and his companion, Daun McCrork, both of Front Royal; three grandchildren, Jonathon Russell Nicholson, Andrew Lee Nicholson and Seth Toron Nicholson; two sisters, Glenda Wines and Janice Mathews, both of Front Royal; and two brothers, Jimmy Saffell and Michael Saffell, both of Front Royal. Two daughters, Danika Nicholson and Robin Nicholson, preceded her in death.

A private service will take place on Wednesday at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Flower arrangements are being handled by Donahoe’s Florist, 205 South Royal Avenue, Front Royal.

I met Sheila when we were both hired at the family dollar distribution center. we worked together for 3 or 4 years then I moved on to another job. I missed her and would often wonder how she was and if she was still working at the family dollar. When I opened the newspaper today I was devested! There her picture was in the obituaries. I am so sorry I never stayed in touch with her. she was a great friend and a wounderful person. I will miss her forever.
