Sharon B. Stine

Sharon Stine passed away on September 17, 2013 at Vibra Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mrs. Stine was born in Lexington, Virginia to Maynard and Mary (Barney) Brooks on May 29, 1944. She married Earl Stine on May 22, 1961 in Williamsport, MD. Mrs. Stine is survived by two daughters Katrina Hanson and her husband James Hanson of Raphine, Va, Kelly Stine and her husband Amr Abdel-Rahman of Winchester, Va and a son, Allen Stine and his wife Deborah Fulton also of Winchester, Va. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Michelle Hanson of Las Vegas, NV, Andrea Hanson of High View,Wv, Jason Stine of Gore, Va, Matthew Stine and his wife Jessica Stine of Stephenson, Va, Tyler Stine of Winchester, Brooke Hanson of Capon Bridge, Wv, Patrick Hanson of Las Vegas, Nv and Cody Stine of Winchester, Va, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Gregory Stine and a grandson, Joshua Hanson. Mrs. Stine founded Sharon Stine & Associates, an accounting firm in 1966 and Sharon Stine Real Estate in 1992 of which she served as President of both firms until her passing. Mrs. Stine was recognized for many professional achievements throughout her successful careers including Rookie of the Year, Director’s Award, and President’s Award, among others. Mrs. Stine was a volunteer Girl Scout leader for over seven years. The family will receive friends at Omps South Chapel on Friday from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Omps South Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am with Celebrant Joseph Dilleree officiating. Pallbearers will be Walter Fletcher, Robert Bower, Danny McFarland, Jeff McDonald, Tony Washington, Steve DuBrueler, Lenny Millholland and Robert Wolford. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Carter, Walter McIntosh and Kirby Reed.
