Russell Linard Brannon, 66, of Winchester, Virginia died Monday, February 6, 2017 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Mr. Brannon was born in 1950 in Virginia, the son of the late Linwood and Goldie Brannon. He was a delivery person for The Winchester Star. Russell was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion.
Surviving is sister, Linda Broughman; nephews, Charles R. Cunningham, III (Ann) and Christopher R. Cunningham; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brannon was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ella Ambrose and brother, James Brannon.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
