Russell Walton Gray, II, 26, of White Post, Virginia, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Gray was born in Winchester, Virginia, in 1983, the son of Russell Walton Gray, of White Post, Virginia and Kimberly Dawn McDonald, of Inwood, West Virginia. He was a roofer with Clarke County Roofing, Co. and of the Protestant Faith. Mr. Gray was a graduate of Clarke County High School, Class of 2002, where he played football.
Surviving with his parents, is his step-father, Jim McDonald of Inwood, West Virginia; two sisters, Tracy Longerbeam of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Laura Harden of Inwood, West Virginia; his brother, Kevin Gray of White Post, Virginia; his paternal grandmother, Jessie Gray of White Post, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Louise and E.B. Luttrell of Inwood, West Virginia; aunts, Frances Ferguson of Baltimore, Maryland, Leah Pickering of Portland Oregon, Monica Butts of Berryville, Virginia; uncle, Edward Schottroffe of White Post, Virginia; cousins, Jean Oswald of Baltimore, Maryland, Edward Thomas Schottroffe of Charles Town, West Virginia, David Butts and Adrienne Butts both of Berryville, Virginia; nieces, Dakota Chegash, Jennifer Gray, Montana Gray, Ruthann Harden, Cheyenne Longerbeam, and Diana Harden.
He is also survived by a special friend, Thomas Chegash and so many friends, too many to mention.
His grandfather James Mills, Sr., and his uncle, George Schottroffe, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
