Ruby M. Baker
Ruby Marie Baker, age 79, of Cross Junction, VA, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center. Mrs. Baker was born in 1934 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Ernest Abner and Barbara Ella Jenkins. She was a graduate of John Handley High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Beaver’s Drug Store. Mrs. Baker had also worked as a secretary at National Fruit. She was a member of the Gainesboro United Methodist church and the Ladies Home Demonstration Club.
She married William Douglas “Buck” Baker on April 18, 1959 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her husband is daughter Tina Baker Skinner and husband, Billy of Cross Junction, Virginia, son Todd Baker and wife, Bethany of Cross Junction, Virginia, grandchildren Amanda Skinner, Elizabeth Skinner, Morgan Baker, Logan Baker, Nicolette Kerns, and Danielle Kerns, sister Thelma Shaw of Winchester, Virginia, and brother Wilmer Robert “Stinky” Jenkins of Winchester, Virginia.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Mt. Hebron Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Wadsworth officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
