Roy R. Neff

        Roy R. Neff, 65, of Cross Junction, Virginia, died Sunday, August 3, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Neff was born in 1949, in Leesburg, Virginia, the son of the late Clarence and Virginia Neff, Sr.  He was employed with Washington Metropolitan Airport Authority as a Maintenance and Grounds Manager at Dulles Airport. Roy was a loving father and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will forever be remembered for his love of bowling, fishing and his dedication to his church. Roy was an avid Jimmy Johnson NASCAR fan.

He married Janet Faye Frye on August 31, 1968, she preceded him in death in 1997.

Surviving is his daughter, Sharon Yvonne Koehnke and husband, Michael, of Winchester; son, Allen Neff and wife, Sam, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; and seven grandchildren.

His sister, Doris Robinson and brother, Clarence “Buddy” Neff, Jr., preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Furnace Mountain Presbyterian Church, in Lucketts, Virginia, with Reverend Patrick Lanaghan officiating.  Interment will follow in Furnace Mountain Cemetery in Leesburg, Virginia.
