Roy B. Schultz, Jr
Roy B. Schultz, Jr., 81, of Berryville, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center, Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Schultz was born in 1932, in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, the son of the late Roy and Eva Schultz, Sr. Mr. Schultz was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Radio Operator and was awarded the NDSM and Good Conduct Medals. Mr. Schultz was a Computer Operator with the US Federal Government retiring in 1986. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Clear Brook and co-founder of Shenandoah Valley Grace Youth Camp.
He married Irene W. Elliott on August 27, 1960, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are sons, Barry “Steve” Schultz and wife, Debbie, of Waldorf, Maryland, Larry Ambrose of Great Cacapon, West Virginia; grandchildren, Chris and Caitlin Schultz, Candace Swartz and Chelsea Conrad; sisters, Patsy Dodson, Betty Biller; brother, John Schultz; son-in-law, Jeff Conrad of Berryville, Virginia and close friend, Shelley Martz of Bluemont, Virginia.
His daughter, Terry Renee Conrad, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, May 27, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel and Saturday, May 31 from 1:00 PM until the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Clear Brook, Virginia with Jeff Conrad and Pastor Tim Hartley officiating.
Interment will be private.
