Ronald Kenneth Malick
Ronald Kenneth Malick, 70, our beloved husband, father and friend, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his home in Winchester, Virginia.
Ronald was born in Augusta, West Virginia to the late Guy and Enid Arnold Malick. He graduated from Hampshire High School, Romney, West Virginia, class of 1960. He was a veteran having served in Germany from 1960 to 1962 with the United States Army. He was a proprietor of Cork and Kent ARCO. Ronald was a supervisor with Emmart Oil Company of Winchester, Virginia retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Calvary Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Malick married Tommi Anne Hawthorne on December 14, 1979 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Susan Hawthorne Keady and husband, Steve, of Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, Ronda Lynn Puffenberger, of Winchester, Virginia and Christina Malick Caniford, of Winchester, Virginia; two sons, Christopher Lee Malick, of Winchester, Virginia and Jeffrey Hawthorne Bray, of Winchester, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Sabrina Smith and husband, Jerry, of Manassas, Virginia, Darek Malick, of Winchester, Virginia, Christian Malick, of Stephens City, Virginia, Caitlin Malick, of Winchester, Virginia, Frankie Caniford, Heather Caniford, both of Stephens City, Virginia, and Jannell Puffenberger, of Winchester, Virginia; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Glenna Jean Linton, of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Mary Lou Blackburn, of Augusta, West Virginia and also, two brothers, Gary Malick, of Stokesdale, North Carolina and Robert Malick, of Hopewell, Virginia.
Mr. Malick was preceded in death by a brother Garland Eugene Malick.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Calvary Church of the Brethren, Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Calvary Church of the Brethren, Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Clarence Davis and Pastor Hartley Wigfield Officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Tim Emmart, Galen Spaid, Jerry Smith, Darek Malick, Fred Ferraro and Bill Renkenberger.
