Robert “Bob” Tyler, 74, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at his home.
Mr. Tyler was born in 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of the late Robert and Lillian Tyler. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and was an Electrical Engineer. Mr. Tyler was a member of Round Hill United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing (especially on Vancouver Island, Glacier National Park), and was a very talented woodworker. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather who will be missed.
He married Danielle Reynet on June 16, 2002 in New Jersey.
Surviving with his wife is a son, Robert V. Tyler of Boca Raton, Florida and stepson, Emmanuel Oudin (Beth) of Whitehall, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Chloe Oudin of Whitehall, Pennsylvania; sister, Cathie Tyler of Mason, Texas; mother-in-law, Pauline Boudes; sister-in-law, Lise Reynet; cousins, Scott and Dona McLean; nephew, Vincent Bureau (Elodie) and their son, Pierre; nephew, Mathieu Calvet (Aline) and their daughters, Gabrielle and Sasha.
A visitation will be from 3 pm to 4 pm on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 4 pm with Pastor Larry Craddock and Pastor Elaine Wing officiating. A reception will follow the service at Omps Reception Center, Amherst Chapel.
