Robert “Bobby” Michael Lawson, 28, of Waterford, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Bobby was born in 1993, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of James C. Carden and Elizabeth L. Burns. He graduated from Tuscarora High School. Bobby attended Destiny Church in Leesburg, Virginia. He was employed at Westend Roofing in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Bobby was a member of AA, played a lot of sports, loved to watch all types of sports, and kept up on the stats for football and basketball teams. His three favorite sports teams were the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves. Bobby enjoyed pickup ballgames with his friends. He liked to go fishing, loved music, he loved to rap and go to concerts. He was very funny, loved to entertain and make everyone laugh. Bobby made and impact everywhere he went and lived larger than life. He had a heart for anyone that needed help and wasn’t afraid to offer it to them without hesitation. He was elated to know that he was going to be a father and was very much looking forward to being the “best Dad ever”.
Surviving with his mother and father is his step-father, Edward W. Burns; fiancée, Amanda L. Werzel, little one the way – baby July, due in October; paternal grandparents, James and Lynn Carden of Winchester, Virginia; brothers and sisters, Joseph D. Ferguson (Kristen) of Waterford, Virginia, Heather L. Ferguson of Los Angeles, California, Danielle L. Willett (Ronald) of Winchester, Virginia, Tyler J. Burns of Waterford, Virginia, Thomas T. Burns of Waterford, Virginia, Christian S. Burns of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Andrew R. Burns of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Tanja and Lisa Carden in Austria; step-grandmother, Gail Ferguson of Destin, Florida; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Robert M. and Katherine E. Ferguson and his dog Hercules the Blue.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 3-5pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
