Robert “Lucky” Lloyd Himelright, 34, of White Post, Virginia, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Himelright was born in 1981, in Winchester, Virginia the son of Mary and William Himelright. Lucky graduated from Sherando High School in 1999. He was self-employed as an asphalt paver. More than anything, Lucky loved his family. He was an Indianapolis Colts fan, liked to hunt and fish, was a fan of NASCAR, and had played baseball when he was younger.
Surviving with his parents of White Post, Virginia, is his son, Joshua Smith of New Paltz, New York; brother, Michael Grady of Winchester; sister, Lisa Viands of Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia; brother, William Baker of Strasburg, Virginia; brother, Johnson Himelright of White Post, Virginia; sister, Samantha Smith of White Post; grandfather, Ray J. Himelright of Strasburg, Virginia; grandmother, Patsy Himelright of Strasburg, Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Forrest Grady and grandmother, Mary Margaret Grady.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Mike Mayton officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Michael Grady, Jr., Jesse Baker, Johnson Himelright, Justin Smith, Jeff Grady, Delmar Grady, and Timothy McKinney.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnson Himelright, Jr., Joshua Smith, and Clark Stanley.
