Robert L. Armel
Robert Loring “Bob” Armel, 79, of Romney, West Virginia, died Saturday, July 20, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.
Mr. Armel was born in 1934, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Harry V. and Marjorie C. Armel. He was the owner of Winchester Painting Company, retiring after 30 years of service. Mr. Armel was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed everything about nature and loved to go trout fishing. Mr. Armel drove racecars at the Winchester Speedway.
Surviving is his daughter, Donna VanSickler of Winchester; two grandchildren, Shanna Mueller and husband, Brian, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Chasity Armel of Winchester; two great grandchildren; his sister, Evelyn Armel of Winchester and four brothers, Dougie Armel of Stephens City, Junior Armel and wife, Kitty, of Stephenson, Buddy Armel and wife, Betty, of Winchester and Red Armel and wife, Lucy, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by ten other siblings.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
All services will be private.
