Robert Franklin “Bobby” Shanholtz, 69, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, September 6, 2015, in a local nursing facility.

 

         Mr. Shanholtz was born in 1946, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Jacob and Ethel V. Shanholtz.  He was the owner and operator of Bobby’s Upholstery Shop in Winchester, Virginia.  Mr. Shanholtz was a member of the Frederick County Fair Board of Directors, serving for many years.  He loved baking cakes and providing them for fundraisers.

 

         Surviving is his sister, Evelyn “Peggy” Ours of Elwood, Indiana; brother, Andrew Shanholtz and wife, Jean, of Woodbine, Maryland; and all his nieces and nephews, who dearly loved him.

 

         Two brothers, Charles Leon Shanholtz and Leo Shanholtz, preceded him in death.

 

         The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

 

         A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia, with Mr. David A. Owings officiating.
