Robert Cecil “Bob” Boyce, Sr., 81, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away, Thursday, November 19, 2009, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Boyce was born in 1928, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Lloyd A. and Grace Boyce. He worked as a night watchman for 15 years at the Farmer’s Livestock Exchange and was an attendant for the Frederick County Landfill Distribution Centers

He married Elma V. Kerns on May 18, 1970, in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Surviving with his wife of thirty-nine years; is a son, Robert Cecil Boyce, Jr. of Frederick County, Virginia; by a previous marriage, are two daughters, Wanda Malone and Donna Surface, both of Frederick County, Virginia; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Francis Seekford of Frederick County, Virginia; and a brother, Raymond Boyce of Fredrick County, Virginia. Three daughters, Sandra Kerns, Brenda Flemming and Debbie Boyce; three sisters, Sylvia McDonald, Virginia Ritter, Lillian Johnson; a brother, Luther “Pete” Boyce; and his faithful companion, “Speedy”, precede him in death.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at Shenandoah Memorial Park with the Pastor Richard L. “Rick” Kerfoot officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at 8 Home, South Chapel.
