Richard D. “Dick” Demorest
Richard D. Demorest, 71 of Clear Brook, Virginia, died Friday, September 10, 2010, in Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.
Mr. Demorest was born in 1938, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Ormand D. and Jean D. Demorest. He was the owner and operator of Wilson’s Heating and Air Conditioning. Mr. Demorest was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and frequently worshipped at the Salvation Army Chapel. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Winchester Rotary and the Salvation Army. Mr. Demorest was active with Apple Blossom Festival and Apple Harvest Festival in Winchester. Mr. Demorest was a graduate of Capon Bridge High School and West Virginia University.
He married Louberta Glispie Weatherton on March 18, 1999, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife, is his daughter, Christa Ann Bauserman and her husband, Kevin of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Jennifer and David Richard Bauserman. He is also survived by the children of Shirley Wilson, Donna Adams, and husband, Gary, her children Jessica and Cody Adams, Jeffery Wilson both of Winchester, Virginia and two step-sons, Robert B. Weatherton III of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael E. Weatherton, and his wife, Renee of Ashburn, Virginia; and three step-grandchildren, Robert B. Weatherton, IV, Ashley Wells and Derek Weatherton.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Salvation Army Chapel with Lt. Alvaro Porras, Reverend James Smith and Reverend Larry Clark officiating. Interment will be private.
