WILLIAM EARL WHALEY left a message on December 16, 2022:
Linda and I, as well as our son and daughter, were sad to hear of Phil's passing. Linda and I knew Phil and Nelma Jean for almost 60 years and they became a part of our family. They were known to our kids as aunt and uncle. We first met them in Maryland but also knew them in Indiana where Phil was the pastor of a small church. We would visit with each other wherever we lived in the country and Phil and Nelma Jean even drove to, and participated in, our wedding in Oklahoma over 56 years ago. We were all fortunate to have Phil and Nelma Jean as our Christian friends and they will be in our memories forever. .
DARRELL SWANIGAN left a message on December 15, 2022:
Uncle Phil and Nelma touched many with their love along life's path. They both loved God and loved their family dearly. I will miss our telephone visits and listening to his words of encouragement and wisdom. He always sang God's praises and now he is with Jesus singing with the heavenly choir. God bless the life of Phil Bailey, I am proud to be called a Nephew. Darrell Swanigan
