Ravinder “Rob” Singh Garcha, 46, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Garcha was born in 1969, in Freeport, New York, the son of Balwant Garcha of Annandale, Virginia, and Juliet Williams of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mr. Garcha was a graduate of Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army, 82^nd Airborne, during Desert Storm. Together with his wife, Mr. Garcha was the owner and operator of The Corners Bar and Grill in Star Tannery, Virginia.

He married Kathryn Jennifer Grande on August 8, 1998, in Annandale, Virginia.

Surviving with his wife and parents is his step-mother, Beatriz Garcha and step-father, Jim Williams; and his brother, Harinder “Raja” Garcha and his wife, Sharon, of Colorado.

One brother, Sanjay “Jay” Garcha, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the family home.

So sorry to hear about Rob passing. I served with Rob in the 82nd Airborne in the late 80's and early 90's. Rob was a great guy and an awesome paratrooper. He will be missed. I'm dedicating this Memorial Day to his service and memory. AIRBORNE!!!

Rob, besides being our son-in-law, you are a special person. All who knew you were touched by your optimism for life. Fortunate were those who were, and are, your friend. Our daughter, Katie, truly found the love of her life. The loss is difficult to bear, but the memory of having you with us, for an all too brief time, we will always cherish. Steve and I are very sorry to hear about your loved one and want to send our sincere condolences. I lost my mother December 20th unexpectedly after a surgery. We wanted to share with you some comforting words that was given to us. Jesus Christ promised.. “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5: 28, 29) Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.The former things have passed away.” "No resident will say: ‘I am sick." “At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness.” Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6. There will no longer be obituary columns to bring us sadness. Instead, there may well be just the opposite, announcements of newly resurrected ones.
