Rachel M. Neeley
Rachel Neeley, age 86, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Envoy of Winchester.

Mrs. Neeley was born in 1931 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Harris. She was a homemaker and life-long member of various churches wherever she lived. Most recently, she was a member of Fishnet Ministries Church in Front Royal, Virginia. She held many offices in her churches including treasurer and was a Sunday school teacher. Rachel was a skilled seamstress all her life and passed on her love and skill to her daughter. Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Rachel married Ralph Eugene Neeley on February 10, 1950 in Gary, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Surviving is a daughter, Cheryl L. Yancey (Quinton Earl) of Stephens City, Virginia; two sons, Robert K. Neeley (Jane) of Washington, Indiana and David B. Neeley (Jeri) of Cedar Lake, Indiana; two grandchildren, Steven Neeley (Julia) of Phoenix, Arizona and Daniel Neeley (Sarah) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two great grandchildren, Aiden Neeley of Phoenix, Arizona and Drew Neeley of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one sister, Katherine Elliott of Corbin, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rachel is preceded in death by her six siblings.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Fishnet Ministries Church, 391 Fishnet Blvd., Front Royal, VA 22630 with Pastor Larry Andes officiating. A second service will be conducted in Indiana at a later date. Interment will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in Rachel’s name may be made to Fishnet Ministries Church, P. O. Box 1919, Front Royal, VA 22630.
