R. Michael Kestner, 63, formerly of Aldie, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home in Capon Bridge, WV.

Mike was born in 1962 in Warrenton, VA, the son of the late Charlie and Mary Kestner. He was a graduate of Loudoun County High School, Class of 1980. Mike was owner and operator of M & J Backhoe Services. He enjoyed motorcycles and boating.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Machado Kestner, whom he married on February 20, 1982; daughters, Jamie Hoflich (Kevin) of Capon Bridge, WV, Megan Kestner (Ron) of Aldie, VA; grandchildren, Javen Hoflich, Shelby Hoflich, Skyler Knox, Riley Huston, and Kylee Huston; and is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11am to 12pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.
