Prestley E. Nelson, Jr., 63 of Stephenson, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Envoy of Winchester.

Mr. Nelson was born in 1955 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of Sue Ann Nelson and the late Prestley E. Nelson, Sr. He graduated from Loudoun Valley High School and was employed at Walmart as a maintenance floor crew member. Prestley loved to watch NASCAR and game shows. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Surviving with his mother is a sister, Brenda Simkhovitch of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Timothy E. Nelson (Krista) of Columbus, Ohio and Christopher A. Nelson (Kim) of Panama City, Florida; two nephews and three nieces; two great nephews and four great nieces.

Along with his father he is preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery A. Nelson; niece, Amanda Roe and her husband, Mark Roe and great nephews, Caleb and Tyler Roe.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Alan Morrison officiating. Interment will be private.
