Phil became paralyzed as a result of an automobile accident in 1999. He then retired as owner/operator of PRK Drilling and Blasting Inc. The company was then purchased by his eldest daughter Nikki and her husband Frank. Phil continued to consult. He never allowed his disability to get in the way of living life. He loved playing golf at Rock Harbor Golf Course, Winchester and Battenkill Country Club, NY with his golfing buddies and grandchildren. Then, there was always the fun card games with Val and Ken.
Although he is deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew, loved and were inspired by him. The stories, laughter and memories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles to those who were fortunate enough to share his life. Phil was especially proud of his and Nikki’s effort to promote adaptive golf through his Give Golf A Try website and video: www.philkingsleygolf.com
