Peggy Fleenor Stallard
Peggy Fleenor Stallard, 81, of Winchester, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Stallard was born in 1930, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of William M. and Leta Fleenor. She was a retired Teacher’s Aide with Frederick County School System/ NREP. Mrs. Stallard attended First Baptist Church in Winchester, was a past President of Friendship Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary and a former Girl Scout Leader. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College, North Carolina and Virginia Commonwealth University (formerly RPI) receiving a Bachelors Degree.
Surviving are two daughters, Becky Stallard of New Orleans, Louisiana, Tracy Meadows and husband, Mark, of High View, West Virginia; son, Doug Stallard and wife, Pauline, of Winchester, four grandchildren, Mark Stallard, Ian Stallard and wife, Lyndsey, Matthew Stallard and Mark Meadows, Jr., one great grandson, Greysen Stallard; and two sisters, Nancy Robinette of Huntsville, Alabama and Betty James of Richmond, Virginia.
Her son, William “Buzzy” Stallard and one brother, William Fleenor, Jr., preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor George Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
