Paul Vincent Kelchner, 90 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home.
Vincent was born in 1934 in Frederick County, Va, the son of the late Justin and Eva Kelchner. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1956, where he was a jock who lettered in football, baseball and track. He was also involved in the drama club. Vincent served our country in the United Staes Air Force, where he learned how to play golf and was a caddy for the General. Vincent retired after 43 years of service as an Offset Photographer at Winchester Printers, Inc. He enjoyed golfing where he had 4 holes in one. Vincent loved hunting, fishing, watching Old Westerns and the Andy Griffith Show. He was a reserve Police Officer for Winchester City Police. Vincent liked to watch baseball and football especially the Redskins. He belonged to the Isaac Walton League and was a former member of the Winchester Moose Lodge and was a Charter Member of Carper’s Valley Golf Club and Rock Harbor Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann whom he married on May 1, 1959, children, Paul “P.D.” Donovan Kelchner, Laurie Kelchner Sosnowski (Guy) and Kevin S. Kelchner, granddaughter, Jeannette Marie Trimper (Brooks), great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Sloane Trimper, sisters, Margaret Clowser, Joan Sullivan and Patricia Kelchner and brothers, Roland and Daniel Kelchner.
In addition to his parents, Vincent is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Louise Holt and brothers, George, James, Edward, John, Justin, Lawrence and Donald Kelchner.
Services for Vincent will be private, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
