Paul I. Muckerman II
Paul I. Muckerman II, age 59, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at his home after a long battle with illness.
Paul was born in 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Paul I. and Dorothy Muckerman. As a native of Missouri, Paul graduated from McCluer High School in Florissant, MO. As a young man living in St. Louis, Paul worked for a short time as a cosmetologist, where he met his wife, Jeaneen (Hecht) Muckerman. Paul worked as a Funeral Home Director and Restaurant Manager until moving to Columbia, Missouri in the early 1990s. There, he worked at Columbia Regional Hospital as Events Coordinator in Food Service and was promoted to DME Technician there. He then worked for the University of Missouri Healthcare in Central Supply and as an Orthotist Fitter and Cast Room Technician. His last position was with Columbia Orthopedic Group as Orthotist Manager until he was no longer able to work, due to his illness. Paul had a unique empathy toward those who were hurting and ill. He devoted his career to caring for others.
He was the beloved husband of Jeaneen; loving father to his daughter, A. Jade Cummings, and his son-in-law Andrew. He also adored his two grandchildren, Zeke and Anya. He will be greatly missed by his two sisters, Veronica Boritz of Atlanta, GA and Laura (Rick) Pfeiffer of Columbia, MO, and two brothers, Richard (Traci) Muckerman of New Market, Maryland and James (Michele) Muckerman of Mexico, MO, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on September 1, 2013 at 12:30 PM at his daughter’s residence on a small farm in Jeffersonton, Virginia. The small memorial service will be open to family and friends, with prayer, fellowship, and sharing memories of Paul.
