Patsy Louise Eppinger, 83, of Frederick County, VA died Friday, April 1, 2016 in Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Eppinger was born in 1932 in Oakland, Maryland, the daughter of the late Clara Belle and David W. Glaze, Sr. She was a graduate of Oakland High School. Ms. Eppinger had worked for Cooper’s Jewelers, Leggetts, and John Kerr Elementary School as a cafeteria aide. She retired from Grand Union Grocery and Frederick County Public School System. Ms. Eppinger was a member of the Eagles of Winchester. She loved crafting, sewing, and gardening. Her greatest joy was babysitting, not only her loving grandchildren…but any child. She attended First United Methodist Church. Her most precious gift was that she never met a stranger.
Surviving are daughter, Janna G. Cather (Jerry Dean), Winchester, VA; son, Gary G. Goodwin (Sue Ann), Winchester, VA; sisters, Barbara J. Dunithan and Mary J. Whitmer; brother, Donald J. Glaze (Pat); grandchildren, Richard A. Dick, Tia G. Oren, Cassandra Goodwin, Tiffany Markosky (Frankie), and Rosalyn “Shelly” Andrews (Bill); great grandchildren, Briana, William, Ivan, and Annaliese; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ms. Eppinger was preceded in death by sister, Anna Savage and brothers, David Glaze, Jr. and Jack Glaze.
Patsy’s family would like to thank all of the wonderful nurses at Valley Health and Blue Ridge Hospice for providing such wonderful and loving care to Ms. Pat.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at New Covenant Christian Church, 165 Miracle Way, Winchester, Virginia with Pastor Steve Wymer and Pastor Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating. Inurnment will be private.
