Oliver Floyd “Puddin” Jackson, 67, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, December 22, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Jackson was born in 1947, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Floyd and Betty Jackson. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1968, one of the first black football players for James Wood. Mr. Jackson was a forklift operator with Rich Foods, retiring in 1999. He was a member of John Wesley Community Christian Church in Winchester.
Surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and close friends, and his special friend of 37 years, Sherry.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Orrick Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fremont Nursery School, 533 Fremont Street, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.
