Nina Baker, 79, entered into her eternal life in Heaven on November 23, 2022. She was preceded by her mother and father, Roberta Spence and Gregory Combes; three children, Cathy Colgan, Jeanne Dingus, and Eric Baker; and soul sister, Marian Pichey, “Peach”. She is survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She dedicated her life selflessly to her family from an early age and continued to do so in her last years, proudly helping to care for and raise her great grandchild, Gabriel. Nina touched countless lives through her Christian bookstore and health food store, The Country Cupboard, for over 30 years. In her earlier years she earned a Master’s Degree in Herbology and utilized her knowledge to help others even into her last days, never passing up an opportunity to help someone improve their overall well-being. She loved to learn and grow constantly through research and dreamed of being a journalist. She was a writer and an artist. She also enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her friends and family, gardening, and caring for her pets. Those who had the honor of knowing her say she was a sweet soul, generous, kind, and loved unconditionally. Not many would cross her path without receiving a bright smile and a warm hug. Her presence in this world is greatly missed.
