Nayleigh Faith Sisler, 6 months young, journeyed to her Heavenly home Monday, November 7, 2016 while at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Nayleigh was born in April 2016 at Children’s National in Washington, D.C., the precious daughter of Jeremiah J. and Susan D. Sisler of Strasburg, Virginia.
Nayleigh was our little heart princess warrior from the beginning. She demonstrated true strength and courage in the midst of impossible odds. Her beauty and determination was truly an inspiration to many. Nayleigh will be forever remembered for her bright beautiful eyes, her unique ability to light up the room and her sassy personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving with her parents are her loving sister and brother, Natalie and Noah; paternal grandparents, Richard A. and Bernadette Sisler of Winchester, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Brian L. and Debbie Layman of Middletown, Virginia; paternal great-grandparent, Dwight M. Sisler of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; maternal great-grandparents, Louise B. Baker of Winchester, Virginia and Earl L. and Janet Layman of Stephens City, Virginia as well as many extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
Nayleigh was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Ruth Sisler, William and Evelyn Talpas, and John F. Baker, Sr.
Nayleigh’s family wishes to offer their most sincere gratitude and appreciation for all those who have loved, cared and supported them throughout this journey.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11th, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12th, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia. A reception will follow at Millwood Station Banquet Hall, 252 Costello Drive, Winchester, Virginia.
Memorial contributions in Nayleigh’s name may be made to Team Nayleigh Faith memorial fund c/o First Bank, 208 Crock Wells Mill Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22603 or Mended Little Hearts of Shenandoah Valley, 201 Rebecca Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22602.

My heart goes out to your family for the loss of your little baby girl, Nayleigh. There are few words that will bring true comfort at a time as this, but the Bible is a source of hope. Isaiah 41:10, 13 is one of the scriptures that helped me when I lost my oldest son, Sonny Jack, in death 7 years ago. He developed elipesy when he was about 17 years old and had a fatal seizure in his sleep when he was 28 years old. This scripture was a life line for me because it shows the deep concern and love our heavenly father, Jehovah God has for each of us. It says, he will take us by the right hand, saying, do not be afraid for I am with you. God will help you cope with the pain, one minute, one day at a time. Another scripture found at Acts 24:15 and John 5:28, 29 tells us about the resurrection hope we are promised. Jesus demonstrated this when he was on earth. One resurrection was of Lazarus, his friend. How beautiful when Jesus commanded Lazarus to come out of his grave after being dead for four days. He came out with bands of cloth wrapped around him and Jesus said, to loosen the bands and set him free. What a joyful time when his sisters, Mary, Martha and his many friends witnessed this. It will be a wonderful time when we, too, are reunited with our loved ones again. I sure hope these scriptures will bring you a measure of hope during this difficult time. Christiian love!

I kept up with Nayleigh Faith's journey from the time she was born. I was saddened when I read of the end of her mighty fight...warrior princess that she was. From the moment she got her angel wings she flew into the arms of Jesus and will be cradled there evermore. She will shine as one of the brightest stars in the sky every night and will never be forgotten family and friends. Praying for all at this most sad time.

My heart sank when I heard of your unbearable tragedy. Reviewing all your FB posts regarding Nayleigh, I just couldn't help but think how strong the two of you are and how Nayleigh was blessed to have the two of you by her side. The love she received in six months was more than what some see in years and years of their lives. I know she will continued to be a part of your lives as you think of her and as she looks over you and your family in the years ahead. It's hard to understand why things happen the way they do. I couldn't begin to feel what's going through your heads and hearts at this time, so I won't try. Please know, if you need anything that I can help with, don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
